Events
The biggest events in the hockey calendar are Boat Ball, Varsity and our end of year awards ceremony. However we also go on weekly socials, and take a group on the annual University Sports Tour.
BOAT BALL
The first major social of the year, this night occurs during the last week of first term.
We join with our friends over at NTU Men’s Hockey club and travel down the River Trent on a boat which features a meal and an open bar. This is not an event to be missed!
VARSITY
The playing season ends with the Varsity Series which sees Trent teams face off with our rivals at UoN in an intense series of sporting events. After playing each other through the season, this is the final chance to show them what we've got! #TRENTARMY
AWARDS CEREMONY
In third term, before exam season begins, we celebrate our fantastic season and success with an awards ceremony held at a local venue. This unforgettable night which features a 3 course meal, speeches and an after party.
Wednesday Nights
Every Wednesday, after our hockey matches, the club reunites on a bar crawl which ends in the infamous nightclub: Ocean!
Every week features a different fancy dress theme which is a chance to get creative. Although we take our hockey very seriously here at Trent, socialising between teams and with other clubs is an important aspect of our club and is a great way to meet people and make new friends.
Tour
During the easter break, we also take part in the annual university sports tour, where clubs and societies from Trent and all over the country gather in Spain for 5 days of fun in the sun.
